Local ministry background:
Jiri came to know Christians and the gospel through the mission work of Terry English and the Tensing Missionary Choir in 1998. He has always been actively involved in the church community and committed to the young generation. He is now actively involved in planting a new congregation in the place where he lives. He believes that exponential church growth is possible through personal discipleship as modeled by Jesus.

In 2013, he joined the Healthy Youth ministry with offering the HY programs from Spiritual Heritage series. He is pleased that since then the programs have grown and are still in great demand. The experience and response to these programs have been very positive.
He has also implemented Financial Literacy programs or a Non-Traditional Music Education program in the form of a project day, using his years of experience leading choirs.

Currently, he is the main leader of the musical project ‘Sezimak sings gospel’, which annually involves about 70 enthusiasts to sing gospel and Christmas songs together.
Outside of the school programs, he is also involved in a leisure volleyball club and youth discussion meetings.

More about programs

How he became a HY Worker:
Jiri is originally a programmer. However, instead of this work, he chose ministry among children and youth. Back in 1998, he was drawn to Terry English’s ministry through the Tensing Choir. His later direction was shaped by an internship with Christian Academy of Youth. He later worked with this Christian organization as a youth worker for the next 10 years. He now devotes himself, among other things, to HY programs in schools in his area.
